Simon Says Stamp September 2014 Card Kit

Hello,

Here is a couple of projects that I have made using the September card kit from Simon Says Stamp called Life is a Storybook.

My first project is a notecard:
I used the stamp set called To Thine Own Shelf using various Staz On inks.

I embossed the sentiment in white and stamped it onto some kraft paper to match the card base.

I added some of the wood dots.

I went around the edges of the pattern paper with Distress Ink in gathered twigs.

My second project is a bookmark.
The background paper is an old book page. I sponged on Distress Ink in vintage photo on the background as well as the cardstock piece.

I used the frame stamp and used one of the pattern papers that had these cute little images. I made them into wall hangings and used a tiny enamel dot as the "pin."

I used a sticker from the sticker sheet and went over it with the Distress Ink as well.

Lastly, I stamped the true story sentiments on the bottom and went around the entire thing with  gathered twigs Distress Ink.

Thanks for having a look.

Trust a Mermaid Tag

Hello,

Here is a tag I made using Smumanha from Stampotique.

I coloured her with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut her out.

For the background: I gessoed the tag, then sprayed it with Dylusions Ink Sprays in Calypso Teal and Crushed Grape. Then I took a Crafters' Workshop stencil called Sea Bubbles and used white embossing paste across the entire tag. When that was dry, I sprayed everything with Tattered Angels spray in Trunk Bay to give it all-over sparkle.

The letters in a bottle are digital stamps which I coloured then applied Glossy Accents to. It gave them a really cool glass effect.

To go along with the sentiment, I have her holding one of the bottles and the rest at the bottom, almost like she's collecting them.

I edged the sentiment in a blue Gel pen.

I sprayed a gauze-like ribbon with Dylusions Ink in the same teal and purple and attached it to the top.

Glimmering Hope ATC

Hello,

Here is an ATC I made using the stamp Glimmering Hope from Stampotique.

I coloured her with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut her out.

For the background: I used Dylusions Sprays in Calyspo Teal and Crushed Grape. I then used a diamond stamp with Staz On ink in black. I used Inkadinkado's circle stamps and embossed them in white. (I also sprinkled some random powder and heat embossed it wherever it stuck.)

I used Stickles in turquoise on her bow.

I sprayed Tattered Angels spray in Trunk Bay all over the background to give it a pretty shimmer.

I have no idea why this saying popped into my head while thinking about what I wanted to use as a quote...but I like how it makes her seem sassy. lol

I coloured the mummies with Prismacolour markers. I added a Wink of Stella glitter marker in clear to the girl mummy's bandages.

The enamel hearts are from Chickaniddy and I coloured them with a red sharpie.

I silver embossed tombstones so it looks like they're chasing each other through a graveyard.
