Simon Says Stamp October 2014 Card Kit

Hello,

Here is a notecard I made using the October Card Kit called Friendship Has Its Perks.

I used brown cardstock for the background. I used a darker brown in strips for the side and bottom.

I used the cup die (which was included in the kit) with orange cardstock. I stamped the steam in black Staz On and covered the entire cup with Glossy Accents.

I embossed the sentiment along the side with Ranger's gold embossing powder.

I added gold and orange enamels dot to the top and bottom.

Here's what was inside the October 2014 kit:

I would like to enter this in the following challenge:

Simon Says Stamp September 2014 Card Kit

Hello,

Here is a couple of projects that I have made using the September card kit from Simon Says Stamp called Life is a Storybook.

My first project is a notecard:
I used the stamp set called To Thine Own Shelf using various Staz On inks.

I embossed the sentiment in white and stamped it onto some kraft paper to match the card base.

I added some of the wood dots.

I went around the edges of the pattern paper with Distress Ink in gathered twigs.

My second project is a bookmark.
The background paper is an old book page. I sponged on Distress Ink in vintage photo on the background as well as the cardstock piece.

I used the frame stamp and used one of the pattern papers that had these cute little images. I made them into wall hangings and used a tiny enamel dot as the "pin."

I used a sticker from the sticker sheet and went over it with the Distress Ink as well.

Lastly, I stamped the true story sentiments on the bottom and went around the entire thing with  gathered twigs Distress Ink.

Thanks for having a look.

Simon Says Stamp July 2014 Card Kit

Hi everyone,

I recently subscribed to the Simon Says Stamp card kit of the month. This is my 3rd month receiving this kit and I think it's a great deal for what you get.  It's great quality and you get different supplies from different companies.

Here's what was in July's kit called Sending Happy Mail:

My goal is to make at least one card or tag strictly with items in the kit before I add everything into my stash.

Here's the card I made:

I wanted to do something a little different and made the letters/envelopes into flowers. I paper-pieced each letter with the pattern papers. I embossed the 'thinking of you' with silver embossing powder and added some little hearts since the main panel is plain white. The base uses the dark blue cardstock which is very sturdy.
