Oddball Art Mummy Girl Card

Hello,

Today I'm sharing a card I made using a digital stamp from the Oddball Art Co called Mummy Girl No. 87

I coloured her in with Prismacolour markers. For her skin, a used a light grey and colourless blender together to get a kinda "death" look. I coloured her eyes a neon green and covered them with Glossy Accents. I coloured her wrapping with pink and grey mixed together to get a "dirty" look and went over some of it with a Wink of Stella clear glitter brush.

For the background, I drew my own black and white border and attached that on top of some grey flower paper from Authentique.

I added some glittery purple bat stickers that I got at Michaels and used Scribbles in black for the eyes.

I edged the sentiment in a silver Gel pen.

I used black alcohol ink on white ribbon flowers, then sprayed them with Tattered Angel spray in Trunk Bay.

Magical Mermaid Tag

Hello,

I'd like to share a tag I made using Smushasha from Stampotique.

I coloured her with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut her out.

I coloured her eyes and bow green, then went over them with Glossy Accents.  I added a green rhinestone to the center of her bow.

For the background, I crinkled up foil and then glued it to the tag. I dabbed on Alcohol Inks in Sail Boat Blue and Purple Twilight. I added some bubbles with a stencil and white embossing paste, then coloured them blue with Staz On ink. I mixed together Stickles in icicle and turquoise and with a paintbrush, spread it all over the entire tag.
I added some seaweed and edged the sentiment in a blue Gel pen. Lastly I attached some frilly blue yarn to the top.

Creating Some Backgrounds with Alcohol Inks

Hello,

This weekend I made some tag and ATC backgrounds using Adirondack Alcohol Inks. I used them on glossy paper, photo paper and aluminum foil. Here are the results.

First up glossy paper from Ranger:

I dropped various colours one at a time onto glossy paper and then blew air at it with a straw. The result was some pretty cool abstract shapes. I really like them.

Next up is using the inks on glossy photo paper:

This is the same paper you would print photos on. When the inks dry, it leaves this crackle effect that's really cool. This has a great texture feel to it too.

Last up is inks on alumimum foil:

This turned out to be my absolute favourite. I used the inks on regular aluminum foil that you would find in your kitchen. I scrunched the foil and then glued it down with tacky glue. I dabbed the inks on with a foam applicator and got this really cool faux crackle texture. The colours retain their vibrancy against the shiny foil.

Here's an up close look at the foil texture:

Get Well Soon Card

Hello,

Here is a get well soon card I made using a digital stamp called Annie's Bear from Tiddly Inks.

I coloured both her and the little First Aid box with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut them out.

I used Wink of Stella in clear on the hearts in the background, the big heart and the bear's nose.

I used Glossy Accents on the hearts that are floating, on the bear, and on her head.

The XOXO ribbon is from Michaels. I used striped washi tape across the bottom.

I took a white Gel pen and made stitch lines around the big heart and up and down either side of the ribbon.

Hello,

I would like to share an ATC I made using the stamp Smushasha from Stampotique.

For the background, (working on glossy paper) I used Tim Holtz Distress crackle paint in Pewter. I then sponged on alcohol inks in Pool and Sail Boat Blue.

For the mermaid, I coloured her with Prismacolour markers and carefully fussy cut her out. She has Stickles in turquoise on the bow in her hair and I went over both her shirt and tail with Wink of Stella in clear.

Lastly, I traced along the edges of the quote with a black Gel pen.

Hello,

My niece Lexie is entering the Simon Says Stamp Summer Vacation: Kids Challenge. She used the Penny Black stamp set Fun in the Sun. She coloured and cut out everything herself. She used a glue stick to stick everything down and added some fun summertime stickers as well.

Simon Says Stamp August 2014 Card Kit

Hello,

I've made a project using the August Simon Says Stamp card kit called Summer Dreams.

Here's a look at what comes in the August kit:

Here's a 7 scoop ice cream cone tag I made with the kit:

I coloured the image in with Prismacolour markers.

I've used Doodlebug twine in brown down both sides of the main panel and for the loop at the top.

I added brown Scribbles to the top scoop to give the chocolate some texture.

I used Mod Podge Dimensional Magic on the cherry.

The sentiment is also from the kit and I stamped it with Staz On in black and embossed it with clear embossing powder.
