Beetlejuice pumpkin

 Happy Halloween 👻

I made Beetlejuice as a carved pumpkin for Halloween. He has a sandworm on top of his head.

I carved out his mouth and made some rotten teeth using air dry clay.

For his eyes, I used styrofoam balls that I cut in half and then painted.

His hair is neon green yarn that I hot glued on to his head. I painted him white and sponged on some green paint for mold.

For the sandworm, I used brown packing paper and wrapped that in duct tape for the black and white stripes.

The head is cardboard and paper mache. His lips, eyes, teeth and tongue are made from air dry clay that I painted.

Thanks for having a look. x

Evil Witch Decorated Pumpkin

Happy Halloween,

Here is an evil witch I carved and decorated for 2018. Her chin, eyes, nose and teeth were all done separately and added on.

I carved out the mouth and left a bit to form her gums so I could stick her teeth in later on. I scooped out her eye sockets so her eyeballs would sit inside them.

I formed her chin and nose using an aluminum foil form and paper mache. I used equal parts white glue and water along with cheap 1 ply napkins to give texture.

I attached these with hot glue and toothpicks to give stability, then paper mached a couple layers over the entire pumpkin to blend them into the surface.

Overall, I did about 3 layers of paper mache.

I painted her with green acrylic paint all over. The eye sockets are black and the gums and mouth are red.

Next were her teeth. I made them out of pink polymer clay and baked them in the oven for about 5 mins. I painted them white then added a watered-down brown which I wiped off. I added hot glue and some thin wire onto the back so that I could stick them firmly into the gums.

I used bouncy balls cut in half for her eyes. I painted them white, then made a red iris and black pupil. I attached them using toothpicks and hot glue into the black sockets.

I made a couple warts out of air dry clay and attached them with hot glue to her nose and chin.

I added a black wig which I hot glued to the top of her head along with a witch hat.

Thanks for having a look.

Pennywise Carved Pumpkin

Happy Halloween,

Here is a carved pumpkin that I did of Pennywise the clown from the movie It.

I cut the stem of the pumpkin off first.
I then cut a hole in the bottom in order to scoop out the guts.
I carved out the eyes and mouth and used Pumpkin Teeth which I inserted into the gum.
I painted the entire pumpkin white.
I painted the eyes and mouth red, blue for the eyelids, pinky red for the gums and black for his eyebrows.
I glued on a clown nose and his hair is made from red wool which I pulled apart and hot-glued to his head.

Zombie Minion Pumpkin 2015

Happy Halloween!

Here is my carved pumpkin for this year--it's a Zombie Minion!!

I painted him with yellow acrylic paint and then sponged on some neon green paint to "dead" him up a bit. hehe

I painted a plastic top silver for his eye goggle and printed out a Minion eye. I painted the strap for the goggles with black paint.

The only part of the pumpkin that I carved was his teeth. I gave him a startled mouth and only 3 teeth. I added some blood with red paint.

I painted his overalls blue and added some white dash stitching lines. I added 2 black buttons and printed out his logo which I attached to his pocket.

Now for my favourite part of the entire pumpkin--his exposed brain! haha I used pink Sculpey Clay and added lots of blood...I even made some worms.

And lastly, I took some plastic drinking straws, painted them black and stuck them into the top of his head for hair.

Thanks for having a look.

Halloween Witch Shaker ATC

Hello,

Here is a shaker ATC I made using the digital stamp set Little Witch from Vera Lane Studio. I made this for the September Halloween Swap in the Vera Lane Studio FB group.

To make the shaker part:
I used 2 ATCs. For the 1st ATC, I simply attached some Halloween paper that has iridescent spider webs on it (set aside)
I cut out a window from a second ATC to make a frame. I coloured it with Distress Inks in Hickory Smoke and Black Soot. Working on the backside of this piece, I attached a piece of acetate and added some foam tape all along the sides to give the confetti some room to move. I added silver, green, and purple confetti for the shaker bits.
I then peeled off the backing to the foam tape and carefully laid the 1st ATC on top.
Flip the right way around and viola!

I coloured her and the crow with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut them out. I added Glossy Accents to her buttons/skull and on the crow's eyes. I used clear Wink of Stella on her hat and eyelids.

I attached them along with an iridescent sticker to the front of the shaker.

Hallocuties Zombie Girl ATC

Hello,

Here is an ATC I made using the digital stamp Hallocuties-Zombie Girl from Smeared Ink.

I coloured her with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut her out.

I added some red fabric paint to all the bloody parts of her...which gave the blood a really nice texture.

For the background, I started with a piece of manilla cardstock and sponged on Distress Inks in Fired Brick, Pumice Stone and Black Soot. I used some red acrylic paint and added some claw marks (three to be exact)

I watered down the red acrylic paint and used a fan brush to get some blood splatters.

I then used a zig zag stamp to give the appearance of faux stitches.

I really really like how it turned out and it kinda looks like skin. Exactly what I was going for so...ya! lol

Here's a look at the background:

I edged around the sentiment with a black Gel pen and went around the entire ATC with black Archival ink.

Bleeding Skulls Altered Coffin

Hello,

Here is a coffin box from Michaels that I altered. This box plays a spooky laugh when you open it.

I started by painting the entire thing with black Gesso. I then sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer spray in Trunk Bay.

I added Tim Holtz’s Crackle paint in brushed pewter to the sides and rubbed it with my finger.

I haven't quite decided what I wanna do to the inside so I left it blank. I painted it with red acrylic paint and covered it with black Gesso. While it was still wet, I rubbed most of the gesso off with a baby wipe.

I bought a bag of skeleton hand from Michaels. I painted one with silver acyrlic paint and hot glued it to the top.

Now for my most favourite part of this project…the bleeding skulls. These skulls were from a bracelet I bought at Michaels that I disassembled. For the blood I used red 3D fabric paint.

Lastly I added a silver foam bat sticker and super sparkly spider to the top.
