Ordinary is Extraordinary Tag

Hello,

Here is a tag I made using the flower digital stamp of the Alice Elements Set from The Octopode Factory.

I used Distress Inks in Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn and Cracked Pistachio for the background. I flicked on some water to create some droplets.

I edged around the entire tag with silver embossing powder.

I coloured the image with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut it out. I drew my own stem and attached it behind the flower, which I popped up using foam tape.

I added Glossy Accents to her eyes and some green wide ribbon to the top.

The sentiment is a sticker phrase from Tim Holtz.

Never Give Up Tag

Hello,

Here is a tag I made using a digital stamp from the Backyard Monsters set and the wings are from the Wings for Things set from Vera Lane Studio.

I coloured his body with Prismacolour markers and his wings with Faber Castell watercolour pencils. I added Glossy Accents to his eyes and Wink of Stella onto the wings. 

The background is collaged with a bunch of different scrapbook paper. I added some gold heart vellum on the left side and a circle-punch circle with a star sticker to the right. 

I went around the entire thing with black Distress Ink and added a star ribbon to the top. 

I attached a star paper clip and a blue arrow sticker.

Stampotique Seahorses Tag

Hello,

Here is a tag I made using the rubberstamps Reggie and Roger from Stampotique.

I used Distress Inks in Mermaid Lagoon and Broken China to colour the background. 

I used a bubble stencil and Ranger's white embossing paste.

I coloured the seahorses with Primsacolour markers and fussy cut them out. I added Glossy Accents to the polka dots and their eyes. I also added Glam Pink Stickles.

I trimmed them to fit the "twinchies" or the 2 x 2 squares.

I added a Tim Holtz word sticker for the sentiment. 

I added some blue and white twine from Doodlebug to the top.

Circles Never End Tag

Hello,

Here is a tag I made using the rubber stamp Mothloved from Stampotique.

I used a manilla tag and made my own background using neon inks from Hero Arts and circle stamps from Scrappy Cat called Circles/Dots. 

I added some glittery enamel dots inside some of the circles. 

I coloured her with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut her out. I added clear Wink of Stella to the dots on her dress and added Glossy Accents on top. 

I also added Glossy Accents to her eyes.

I used Stickles on the bow on her head.

I added some turquoise dot washi tape along the bottom.

I edged the sentiment with a black Gel pen.

I used Doodlebug twine in pink, green, and blue and added that to the top.

Party Kitty Mini Tag

Hello,

Here is a mini tag I made using the digital stamp Girl and Cat with hats from Vera Lane Studio.

This mini tag measures 2.5" x 4.5". 

The birthday sayings background paper is from The Paper Studio's Eat Cake paper pad.

I coloured the kitty with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut her out. 

I added clear Wink of Stella to her spots and her eyelid. I added Glossy Accents on top of the spots.

The hat is also from the set and I added a blue pom pom to the top.

I used a Happy Birthday sticker for the sentiment.

I added some purple fuzzy eyelash yarn to the top.

Hello Spring! Mini Tag

Hello,

Here is another mini tag I made (I just love making these) using the digital stamp Girl and Cat with Party Hats from Vera Lane Studio.

The tag measures 2.5" x 4.5".

I used some flower paper for the background.

I coloured her with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut her out. I used clear Wink of Stella on the polka dots on her shirt and added Glossy Accents on top. 

I used 3 paper flowers and glued them together and added a glittery enamel dot in the center.

I edged around the sentiment with a black Gel pen.

I added yellow, green and blue Doodlebug twine to the top.

Octopode Cat Mini Tag

Hello,

Here is a mini tag I made using the digital stamp Gothic Cat Cesar from The Octopode Factory. 

The mini tag measures 2.5" x 4.5".

I used some orange with white polka dots paper for the background.

I coloured him with Prismacolour markers (in the same colours as my 2 kitties-Mimi and Lulu :D)
and fussy cut him out. I added Glossy Accents to his eyes and clear Wink of Stella to his tummy.

The cat paws are a stamp from Inkadinkdo (the set is called Cats) I used black Scribbles to make them dimensional and I fussy cut them out.

I edged around the sentiment with a black Gel pen.

I added some black with white polka dot ribbon to the top.

Toxic Ballerina Tag

Hello,

Here is a mini tag I made using the digital stamp Ballerina Top-Toxic Ballerina from Smeared Ink.

This mini tag measures 2.5" x 4.5" and the background paper is from Recollection's Midnight Magic paper pad.

I coloured her with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut her out. I added clear Wink of Stella to parts of her dress and hair.

I added some Recollections faux pearls down the left side of the tag.

I coloured a felt flower with a black Sharpie and added a pink gem to the center.

I edged around the sentiment with a black Gel pen.

I used white lace ribbon for the top that I coloured with Distress Ink in Pumice Stone.

Creepy Spider Tag

Hello,

Here is a tag I made using some spider stamps from Hampton Art.

I used a Tim Holtz web embossing folder and coloured the tag with Distress Ink in Seedless Preserves and Black Soot. The stamp set had these cute spider babies that I stamped all over the tag. (hehe they make me giggle :D)

I stamped and fussy cut the spiders and added googily eyes. I popped them up with foam squares and added a black and white paper string for them to hang from.

I added 2 Recollections black glittery spiders.

I added the word creepy to the bottom and added black Stickles. The danger sign is a die cut from K & Company.

I added some Recollection spiderweb ribbon to the top.

The Sun Goddess Tag

Hello,

Here is a tag I made using the rubberstamp Angel from Stampotique.

 I used Distress Ink in Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers for the background. 

On top of that I used Tim Holtz's Rays stencil and embossing paste which I coloured with Lemon Zest Dylusions Spray Ink. I added clear embossing powder to give the rays a shiny look.

I coloured her with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut her out. I added clear Wink of Stella to her wings and her dress. I popped her up on foam squares as well.

I added some round yellow gems randomly in places.

I added some yellow yarn to the top.

Oddball Love Tag

Hello,

Here is a tag I made using the digital stamp Kendall Collector of Hearts from Oddball Art Co.

I started by adding gesso to the entire tag.

I sprayed it with Dylusions Inks in Crushed Grape and Cherry Pie. 

I blended in some pink and red Gelatos in certain places.

I watered down some neon pink acrylic paint and splattered that across the background. 

I stamped some hearts along the right edge of the tag and white embossed them.

I coloured her with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut her out. I added clear Wink of Stella to the heart, scarf and bows. I added Glossy Accents to the heart and buttons.

I used red heart washi tape underneath her.

I edged around the sentiment with a black Gel pen.

I added some red heart gems.

I tied hot pink and black yarn to the top.

Believe in Magic tag

Hello,

Here is a tag I made using the rubberstamp Angel from Stampotique. 

For the background, I used different colours of Staz On ink and sponged it on. 

I then stamped some random circles and spirals and embossed them in clear.

I added some gems to the middle of some of the spirals.

I added black and white striped washi tape across the bottom and along all the edges.

I coloured her with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut her out. I added Stickles in green to her wings.

I edged around the sentiment with a black Gel pen and added black string to the top.

Follow Your Heart tag

Hello,

Here is a tag I made using the rubberstamp Angel from Stampotique.

I used white embossing paste from Ranger and a heart stencil from The Crafter's Workshop called Grunge Hearts. 

I stamped little white hearts randomly over the whole background using Distress Paint in Picket Fence.

I then used 3 different coloured Gelatos in red and pinks and blended them together with a wipe. 

I added Red glitter glue inside the hearts.

I coloured her with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut her out. I used black Stickles on her wings and clear Wink of Stella in her hair. I popped her up on foam squares.

I edged around the sentiment with a black Gel pen.

I added heart washi tape along the bottom. 

I added a puffy heart sticker and some glittery red yarn to the top.

Christmas Santa Tag

Merry Christmas,

Here is a tag I made using a Santa image I fussy cut out of a 12 x 12 sheet of Santa images.

I used a tree paper for the background by Basic Grey. 

I added Santa on top. There were already white snow splotches on the image, so I took Scribbles paint in white and went over them and added some all over the background. 

I added a large snowflake die cut to the corner and printed the sentiment in red ink from Simon Says Stamp. 

I added Stickles to some of the white parts of his outfit.

I used a white glitter ribbon for the top.

Christmas Martin Tag

Hello,

Here is a tag I made using the digital stamp Martin from Dilly Beans

I used green snowflake paper for the background. I added white gems to the middle of some of the snowflakes. I cut out a little snow mound for him to stand on.

I fussy cut out a string of lights from pattern paper and put foam squares behind each bulb.

I coloured him with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut him out. I gave him a little Santa hat {a freebie from The Octopode Factory blog: here}

I made a little Santa Stop Here sign from a Studio G stamp and a strip of red and white striped paper. I edged around it with black Archival Ink.

I edged around the sentiment with a black Gel pen.

I added some red and white Tim Holtz paper twine to the top.

Frog Princess Tag

Hello,

Here is a tag I made using stamps from the Dylusions sets Pondering Petunia and Curious Corrin.

For the background, I tinted white Gesso with Dylusions Ink Spray in Bubblegum Pink. I brushed that over the entire tag minus the edges. I took turquoise acrylic paint and a dot stencil and added that across the middle.

I edged around the tag with Distress Paint in Picket Fence.

I used flower stamps from Fiskars with Archival Ink in black and then coloured them in with Sharpies. I added different coloured gems to the center of some of the flowers.

I coloured her with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut her out. 

I used Stickles on the spots of her dress and her crown. I put Glossy Accents on tops of the spots as well. I added gems to the top of her crown.

I took 3 paper flowers and joined them together with a pearl gem in the center. I attached that to the top corner.

I edged around the sentiment with a black Gel pen.

Got Brains? Zombie Tag

Hello,

Here is a tag I made using the digital stamp from the set Zombie Love by The Octopode Factory.

I used Distress Inks in the colours Seedless Preserves, Fired Brick and Black Soot for the background. 

I splashed water to get splotches and used a blood splatter stamp with Simon Says Stamp Lipstick Red ink. 

I stamped a spiderweb in the corner using black Staz On.

I coloured the image with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut her out. I used Glossy Accents on her heart and eyeball.

I gave her a brain to hold and used red Fabric paint for the blood drips.

I edged the sentiment with a black Gel pen and added some pink and red rick rack to the top to finish it off.

Alcohol Ink Halloween Tag

Hello, 

Here is an tag I made using alcohol inks and a Tim Holtz embossing folder.


I applied some Ranger foil to the tag and then embossed it using a Halloween embossing folder from Tim Holtz. 

I coloured it with alcohol inks in red, orange and purple. 

I added some skeleton ribbon I bought from Michaels to the top.

Gloomsville Witch Tag

Hello,

Here is a tag I made using a digital stamp called Gloomsville Witch (The Witch of Gloomsville and her Gothic Cat Cesar) from The Octopode Factory.

I first mixed together white and black Gesso to get this great grey colour and coated the entire surface of the tag with it. 

I then used a Tim Holtz spiderweb embossing folder and rubbed black Staz On over the raised webs. 

For the ground I used texture paint and when it was dry, coloured over it with brown Sharpie markers.

I then added a spooky tree and tombstones with white embossing paste and a  stencil that I bought at Michaels. 

I coloured the tree with Distress Ink in Gathered Twigs and Vintage Photo and painted the tombstones with the same grey gesso I used on the background.

I coloured the witch and her kitty with Prismacolour markers. I fussy cut them out and popped them up on foam dots. I added Glossy Accents to their eyes and the star hanging off her hat.

I used a die cut from K & Company that said October 31 and placed an epoxy circle on top.

I added sparkly spiderweb ribbon to the top that I bought at Michaels to finish it off.

Octopode Butterfly Girl Tag

Hello,

Here is a tag I made using the digital stamp Flutterby Butterfly from The Octopode Factory.

For the background, I used Picket Fence distress paint and a Tim Holtz letter stencil. I then blended a bunch of Distress Inks on top.

I stamped 2 Inkadinkado dot circle stamps in opposite corners and embossed them in clear.

I coloured the girl in with Prismacolour markers and fussy cut her out.

I added Glossy Accents to her eyes, the little hearts on her wings and also the dots.

For the sentiment, I used word dies from Little Yellow Bicycle and die cut the word believe. I covered it with Versamark and added Ranger's Holographic embossing powder. 
I added some multi-coloured yarn to the top to finish it off.
